There would be no football legends without the fans
Why it’s high time that fans were recognised for their role in the success of football globally.

Football fans run the world.
Well, the world of fans, at least. According to these FIFA statistics, there are around five billion football fans around the world. To put things in perspective, China has a population of over 1.4 billion people. Football fans globally? Roughly 3.5 Chinas.
Football fans are by no means the only fans around the world; you have your cricket fans, your tennis fans, your rugby fans, and those fans in the US who call a very different game football. You even have your chess fans, but we’ll leave that insight to the professionals. This list could go on forever; there are, after all, over 800 official sports played around the world. However, none of these groups of fans are as big as those who support the beautiful game of good ol’ football (the non-US kind). Cricket has roughly 2.5 billion fans, while tennis is enjoyed by a set of 1 billion. Rugby has their around 800 million fans (according to stats from 2018), while American football fans make up 400 million people.
You get the idea. No matter the sport, football fans take the top spot, and we’re not likely to budge from our comfy position any time soon. It wouldn’t be true to our competitive nature. You see, football isn’t a weekend passtime or something we are ‘fans’ of in passing. Football, to many (and perhaps even to you) is a religion. It’s a way of life, an all-encompassing concept that has us getting up at 3am to watch our teams when they play on the other side of the world, or that sees a nation mourn for three days (officially, who knows for how long the sadness will remain) when their “O Rei” is no more.
Our point? Thank you for your patience, here it comes:
Football fans are a crucial part of the game. Sure, the teams are vital, and we know that there would be no legendary goals without the football legends themselves; but would they be legends if there was no one to cheer them on? Ponder over this philosophical titbit for a second: if a player scores an unthinkable goal in an empty stadium, did the goal take place? If fans were not an important aspect of football — one of the most important aspects — would nail biting games like the World Cup final between Argentina and France even take place, and Buenos Aires come to a standstill? If there were no fans — no us — why even bother?
Take passion and pride out of the equation for a second, and we realise that fans are a massive part of what makes the game of football a multi-billion-dollar industry yearly.
Football fans run the world. But don’t you think it’s about high time that we enjoy some of the earnings that we’ve been generating for generations? Football doesn’t have to be something that you enjoy from afar; at home, in the stadiums or while working your day job but secretly wishing you were José Mourinho.
In a groundbreaking move for football as we know it, Nordensa enables fans to fund and bring talented young players to major European football clubs and own a share of their earnings. Gone is the division of the game of football on one side, and the fans who fuel the game on the other. You, the fan, finally have a say and a real impact on how the game is played. You can offer an opportunity for talented players from underdeveloped backgrounds to reach the European leagues, and you can earn from their success.
Well, we’d say it’s about damn time!
